It was pretty interesting to read this article and contrast it with a piece that was on Kurt Andersen’s show, Studio 360, the other day - about how the music of every decade has its distinctive sound. Yay - or boo! Autotune.

I was addicted to Columbia House and BMG in the 90s. I think I still have the B52’s “Cosmic Thing” on a cassette. There was something so magical about receiving this huge shipment of music in the mail for ONE PENNY. I do regret not sending back Blind Melon though.
